Love pancakes??

How many of yall love pancakes?? I know I do, and its next to impossible to find a healthy pancake recipe. I think I found one though!!! I am really bad at buying bananas and never eating them all so I always have to find clever ways to use old bananas. I have had my fill of banana bread so I have been looking for something new. And I found one (on pintrest of course)! Super delicious!

Ingredients

1 very ripe banana

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1 flax egg (1 Tbsp flaxseed meal + 2.5 Tbsp of water

pinch of salt

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

1 Tbsp of almond butter

1 Tbsp of coconut oil (or canola oil but coconut is better for you)

3 Tbsp of almond milk (or other milk but almond is better for you)

1/2 cup of rolled oats

1/2 cup of whole wheat flour

3 Tbsp of chocolate chips

Instructions

Prepare flax egg by mixing flaxseed and water and letting sit for 3-5 minutes

Mash banana with baking powder

Add flax egg, oil, salt, vanilla, almond butter, milk and stir

Stir in oats and flour

Stir in chocolate chips

Cook on the skillet!

There you go! Delicious healthy pancakes. Try to bypass the syrup too. The only sugar in these bad boys comes from the banana and chocolate chips. Flax seed is full of omega 3 and lignans. Almond butter is super good and way better for you than peanut butter! Almonds are full of protein and don’t have nearly as much fat as peanuts. So try this recipe and let me know how you like it!

Can’t make it to the gym?

We all have busy days and do not have the time to drive 15 minutes to the gym, workout for 30 minutes then drive 15 minutes back home. That’s an hour out of the 27 hours worth of stuff we have to do. So here is my solution; wake up about 20 minutes earlier this week and squeeze this workout in. It is easy and you can do it at home. No weights or gym needed, just a stopwatch. It is a crossfit metcon workout! You have no excuse to not finish this!

Do as many rounds as possible in 12 minutes (bump it up to 15 minutes if you are feeling motivated)

10 push-ups

15 lunges (or jump lunges)

20 sit ups

Not enough time?

You can’t go fail with This Program. Click on the enlargement and change your life and your weight for the better! :-)

So I hear a lot “I don’t have enough time to workout”. And while this can be true I find it funny because while people say that, I see them make time to do other things such as go out, watch TV, take naps, etc. The bottom line is you make time for things that are important to you. If you want to get in shape, lose weight, feel better, have more energy, or whatever, you will make time to make that happen. I just want to encourage you to make the time. It may be frustrating and seem like a long process but it is so worth it. If you want to make a change with your body or just your feel better and get healthy then make working out a priority.

There are so many options to fit fitness into your schedule. I know I have talked about it before but working out does not have to be an hour-2 hour long ordeal. There are so many workouts that build cardio strength, muscular strength and flexibility in 20-30 minutes or less and you can do them at home! Everyone has something that works for them. I can work out at home and be totally fine. However, my dad has to go to a gym or do crossfit. You may want to hire a trainer if you do not know where to start or just start somewhere. Either way, find what works and do it! Be dedicated and build discipline. It is not that hard. I have workouts on here that take less than 20 minutes and there are also so many resources out there that are free! You may have to wake up 30 minutes earlier but it’s worth it. Make it happen. You have control over your own body so its time to take that control back.

Here is a fun workout you can do today.

Run 2 miles

100 crunches

50 lunges

25 burpees

stretch to cool down

This workout took me less than 30 minutes! See what you can do.
